WWE reportedly is currently expected to be moving their NXT brand from Full Sail University to the WWE Performance Center for shows going forward, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue that WWE officials currently plan for NXT to begin airing shows from the Performance Center starting with this Sunday’s NXT TakeOver 31 event. WWE officials had been in talks earlier in the week for TakeOver to potentially take place at the ThunderDome but decided against it in the end.
Meltzer also reported that WWE has also recently made a change to their tapings schedule with 205 Live episodes to now be taped together with NXT tapings on Wednesdays instead of on Fridays with SmackDown tapings. This new change reportedly was made as a precautionary measure for COVID-19 due to the belief that one reason for the recent outbreak was due to NXT talent being in contact with main roster talent because of the 205 Live tapings.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that NXT will also be resuming a weekly live schedule for their shows at the Performance Center starting with the October 7th episode.
