Jeff Jarrett reportedly is currently heavily involved in WWE’s plans for their upcoming NXT India brand, according to Sportskeeda.
Sportskeeda’s Lennard Surrao reported that WWE officials recently put Jarrett in charge of finding a native born homegrown Indian talent to build their NXT India brand around. Surrao reported that Jarrett has past experience with the Indian market as he was the key person behind TNA’s former Ring Ka King promotion in India that lasted from 2012 to 2013.
Surrao also reported that “significant moves” for this upcoming NXT India brand are currently planned to take place during this year.
In regards to WWE’s current plans for an “India Special” on the WWE Network, Surrao reported that this special is scheduled to air on January 26th. This date is significant in India for being Republic Day, which honors the date when the Constitution of India went into effect. In regards to talent planned for this special, Surrao reported that Jinder Mahal, Indus Sher, The Singh Brothers, Jeet Rama, and a few other Indian developmental talents are expected to featured on the show.
