WWE: Ricochet Contract Status, Elimination Chamber 2021 Update, Next Investor’s Meeting

Ricochet WWE Contract Status Update

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that rumors of Ricochet’s WWE contract expiring any time soon are not true.

Meltzer reported that Ricochet’s contract is currently set to expire in Summer of 2024. Meltzer also reported that Ricochet’s current contract was signed in 2019 following his promotion to the main roster and during the period when WWE was adamant about not wanting to lose anyone of possible use to All Elite Wrestling.

WWE Pushes Ahead Date of Elimination Chamber 2021 Event

Besides WrestleMania 37, WWE officials recently changed the date for this year’s Elimination Chamber event, according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson reported that WWE currently has this year’s Elimination Chamber event scheduled to take place on February 21st, which is one week earlier than originally planned.

WWE Announces Date for Next Investor’s Meeting

WWE recently announced that they will be holding their next investor’s meeting for their fiscal fourth quarter and 2020 fiscal year reports on February 4th.

Post Wrestling’s John Pollock reported that the company is currently expected to post their most profitable year ever in company history. Pollock reported that the two key factors making this possible are the very large revenues currently being received from their television contracts and the savings generated from the lack of touring and working in a central location in Florida during the coronavirus pandemic.
