- Dynamite Kid: Legendary wrestler who lost the ability to walk in his late 30s and suffered other health issues due to several injuries throughout his wrestling career
- Nick Gage: Wrestler who specializes in death matches
- Chris Kanyon: Former WCW/WWE wrestler who committed suicide in 2010 and talked about his struggles as a closeted gay man
- Collision in Korea: WCW and NJPW’s 1995 “Collision in Korea” Show in North Korea
- XPW: Xtreme Pro Wrestling, a hardcore wrestling promotion founded in 1999 that had connections with the Los Angeles porn industry
- FMW: Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, a hardcore wrestling promotion in Japan from 1989-2002
