According to The Hollywood Reporter, the latest revival of American Gladiators is considered cancelled by NBC.
The big openings for The Wrestler this weekend will be in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
Like Team 3D’s Brother Ray, Frontline wrestler Samoa Joe will be taking some time off to sell injuries from a recent beatdown by the Main Event Mafia. Joe is expected to be kept off television until the week before TNA’s Genesis PPV on January 11th.
Forbes.com has an article up detailing the “surprising success” of MyNetwork TV, which has beaten rival CW Network for the past 3 weeks straight. In fact, MyNetwork TV is the only broadcast networks to grow this season. Its average of 1.76 million viewers each night is up 750,000 from last season, according to Nielsen Media Research. Forbes.com credits WWE SmackDown as the network’s most successful show. MyNetwork President Greg Meidel says, “We want to provide programming that’s entertaining, that’s fun to watch and easy to join in progress.”
