As noted before, Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly’s contracts with WWE are currently expected to be expiring soon. Gargano’s contract is set to expire after this Sunday’s NXT WarGames 2021 event while O’Reilly’s contract is set to expire sometime during this month.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that talks between Gargano and WWE over a potential new contract have been going on since this past October. WWE officials very much want to keep him in the company and praised him for his work with The Way and helping build new stars during his time on the NXT brand.
In regards to O’Reilly, it was reported that WWE is also interested in signing him to a new deal to keep him in the company. O’Reilly reportedly was stated to have been a bit surprised when he was informed that his contract was expiring soon. O’Reilly reportedly had believed his contract would have been extended due to how WWE extends the time on contracts for various reasons.
