Ronda Rousey may be back in WWE very soon.
Rousey is “definitely on the books for WrestleMania,” Dave Meltzer reported today, and “confirmed plans are on the table for her return.”
WWE has also discussed Rousey as a potential surprise entrant (or for an appearance in some form) at the Royal Rumble, according to Fightful Select, which would presumably set up her WrestleMania destination. Whether or not anything will come from WWE’s discussions is unclear, and there are no confirmed reports that she will definitely be at the Rumble for now.
Rousey has been doing more training recently and WWE sources told Fightful that they think it’s a matter of “when and not if” she’ll be back.
She last wrestled at WrestleMania 35 in April 2019. She then took a break to start a family and gave birth to her daughter in late September 2021. If she does appear at the Royal Rumble, it would be only about four months after having a baby.
Talk has sprung up about a potential Rousey return several times since she left, but WWE sources told Fightful that this is “the most chatter” there has been about a Rousey comeback.
