Angelico, one half of the tag team The Hybrid2 in AEW, said on Twitter that he has been out of action with a torn ACL and torn meniscus that he suffered at the end of 2021, but his “recovery is well ahead of schedule” and his return to the ring “is just around the corner.”

His last match was at a December 3 taping of AEW Dark, where he defeated Invictus Khash. His tag team partner Jack Evans has wrestled in just two matches since then, both singles losses on AEW Dark to Wheeler Yuta and Dante Martin.
