WWE reportedly recently contacted a talent currently under contract with AEW, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that one source spoken to stated that an unnamed notable AEW talent, who is currently under contract with the company, recently informed AEW officials that WWE had recently reached out to them. This talk reportedly involved WWE gauging the interest of this talent in working for them. This same source also stated that this talent is currently happy in AEW and does not have any desire to leave the company for WWE. This talent reportedly felt that AEW officials deserved to know of WWE’s recent contact with them.
In regards to WWE, it was reported that their sources claimed that it was a member of WWE’s talent relations department who had contacted this AEW talent but not directly and instead were referred to their agent.
Those spoken to close to situation stated that there was no mistake on WWE’s end over the contractual status of this talent since this person is currently under a full-time contract with AEW.
