AEW reportedly is currently estimated to have generated between 135,000 to 142,000 pay-per-view buys for this past Sunday’s All Out 2022 event, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that while he currently estimates the event to have generated a number somewhere between 135,000 to 142,000 for PPV buys, the current data available for All Out 2022 is more limited than usual for AEW events.
Meltzer reported that while the number broke the streak of every AEW PPV event generating a higher buy rate than the previous year’s event, this was something that AEW CEO Tony Khan had expected to happen going into the event. This reportedly was due to last year’s event both shattered AEW’s previous record for highest ever PPV buys and also featured CM Punk’s first match in over seven years.
In terms of breakdowns, streaming buys reportedly are currently estimated to have generated more than what AEW and NJPW’s joint Forbidden Door event did this past June and close to what AEW’s Double or Nothing 2022 event generated this past May. Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that the current estimates range is likely where the actual number will land with the possibility of it being slightly higher than the current estimated high end point.
