Impact Wrestling held a new set of Impact! television tapings on Friday at Sam’s Town in Las Vegas, Nevada. This new set of tapings were titled Sin City Showdown and were for the build of next month’s Over Drive 2022 event, which takes place on November 19th at the Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.
This new set of tapings also featured the First Round matches for Impact’s X-Division Championship tournament, which will crown a new champion at Impact’s Over Drive 2022 event.
Impact tapings to air on October 27th and November 3rd:
- Impact X-Division Championship tournament First Round match – Black Taurus defeated Laredo Kid
- Impact X-Division Championship tournament First Round match – Trey Miguel defeated Alan Angels
- Impact X-Division Championship tournament First Round match – PJ Black defeated Yuya Uemura
- Impact X-Division Championship tournament First Round match – “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Kenny King
- Savannah Evans defeated a local talent. This match was originally scheduled to be Tasha Steelz vs. local talent at her demand.
- Josh Alexander & Frankie Kazarian defeated Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis)
- Chris Bey defeated Tommy Dreamer
- Savannah Evans defeated Jessicka
- Matt Cardona defeated Alex Shelley. Following the match, a brawl took place involving the Major Players, Motor City Machine Guns, and Rhino & Heath.
- Joe Hendry defeated Raj Singh
- Mickie James, Jordynne Grace, & Taylor Wilde defeated VXT (Chelsea Green & Deonna Purrazzo) & Gisele Shaw
- Street Fight match – PCO defeated Eddie Edwards
- Sami Callihan vs. Eric Young match went to a no contest due to Violent By Design’s attack on Callihan. During the brawl, it was revealed that Alan Angels was the newest member of VBD.
- Ace Austin defeated Moose
