Brian Cage Reportedly Expected to Leave AEW & ROH This April
Brian Cage reportedly is currently expected to leave AEW and Ring of Honor this April, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that AEW officials were considering adding injury time to Cage’s current deal which would keep him in the company through this June. Cage’s contract with AEW and ROH had been set to expire in late January and early February of this year.
Cage reportedly pushed back on the idea and both sides agreed to a deal for him to work through ROH’s upcoming Supercard of Honor 2023 event this April.
AEW officials reportedly had offered Cage an extension that was stated to be comparable to his current contract but Cage informed them of his intent to explore free agency instead. It was reported that WWE currently remains interested in potentially signing Cage once his current contract expires.
