New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Jay White’s contract with the company expired this past February and he was expected to be leaving for WWE or AEW.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources that White is currently not expected to be joining and signing a contract with WWE.
Johnson reported that that there was “absolutely no discussion” regarding White’s status from within WWE over this past WrestleMania 39 weekend in Los Angeles, California. Several WWE officials and talents spoken to reportedly stated that they currently believe that White is not expected to be joining the company.
Prior to his departure, White had worked for NJPW from 2015 to 2016 and then from his return from excursion from November of 2017 to this past February.
