Busiroad’s interest in signing Trinity Fatu, former Naomi in WWE, to a contract reportedly has been hampered by monetary issues within the company, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that Bushiroad’s wrestling division is still currently dealing with major financial issues related to the coronavirus pandemic in Japan. Meltzer reported that while Stardom’s finances have greatly improved, the declines from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s finances have caused an overall major decline in the division. As a result, Bushiroad officials reportedly have pressured their wrestling division to keep their spending down until things improve.
This issue reportedly has led to a hesitance on signing Naomi to a potential contract despite interest from NJPW and Stardom due to the current feeling that it would cost too much money in return to the financial benefit she could generate for Bushiroad.
