As noted before, Mercedes Mone has been out of action for New Japan Pro Wrestling since this past May due to an ankle injury.
Mone recently provided an update on Instagram about the status of her ankle injury and rehab. This update hinted that Mone might have recently undergone ankle-related surgery.

Prior to her injury, AEW had been interested in Mone potentially making an appearance for their co-promoted Forbidden Door II event with New Japan Pro Wrestling later this month in Toronto, Canada.
