As noted before, The Motor City Machine Guns’ Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin’s contracts with TNA Wrestling is currently rumored to be expiring soon and as early as by the end of this month.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that Shelley and Sabin’s contracts with TNA officially expires at the start of April. Johnson reported that several people within TNA are currently expecting Shelley and Sabin to leave while others are currently hopeful that they can be able to get them to stay in the company.
In regards to potential destinations, Johnson speculated that AEW likely will go after the Motor City Machine Guns once they enter free agency to reprise their feud with The Young Bucks.
In regards to ownership of the Motor City Machine Guns name, Johnson also reported that Sabin and Shelley are currently planning to continue to use that name for their team based on a recent trademark filing by Sabin.
