Friday’s Homenaje A Dos Leyendas 2024 for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured one new match set for the card of next week’s Super Viernes event in Mexico City.
This new match was a singles match of Bryan Danielson vs. Blue Panther.
This match was setup following Mistico submitting Matt Sydal to give Team CMLL the victory over Team AEW in an Eight-Man Tag Team match in the main event of the show.
Following the match, Danielson grabbed a microphone and interrupted Team CMLL’s victory celebration. Danielson called out Blue Panther and stated that Blue Panther did not beat him. Danielson then issued a challenge to Blue Panther to a singles match at next week’s CMLL event at the Arena Mexico. Blue Panther responded agreeing to the match making it official.
