As noted before, Bryan Danielson suffered a storyline neck injury at this past March’s AEW Dynasty event. This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured the announcement of Danielson not being medically cleared to travel due to the status of his “injury.”
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Danielson is currently taking a break from AEW following their AEW Dynasty event. Meltzer reported that the injury angle involving the Storm Driver spot during his match against Will Ospreay was meant to be AEW’s way of writing him out so that he could go on a break.
Meltzer reported that the reason for the break is for Danielson is to due he had been “going at it hard” to the point he needed a break for some rest.
