Brian Cage Comments on Reason for Mogul Embassy Turning on Swerve Strickland

This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada featured the Mogul Embassy attacking Swerve Strickland and ending their partnership with him.

Brian Cage recently provided an update on Twitter stating that the reason why the Mogul Embassy turned on Strickland was due to them feeling that Strickland was only using them to advance his own goals and ignored them once he won the AEW World Championship.

AEW Dynasty PPV Buys Estimates Update

As noted before, this past April’s AEW Dynasty event is estimated to have generated around 117,000 to 126,000 pay-per-view buys based on streaming data and late buy purchases as of last week.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW Dynasty is now currently estimated to have generated around 121,000 PPV buys based on current data and late buys purchases.

Meltzer reported that Dynasty is currently down around 40.8% compared to this past March’s Revolution 2024 PPV buys. This reportedly would give a total of around 108,000 PPV buys but streaming buys were not down as much resulting in a revised estimate total of around 121,000 buys based on the same number of days after the event.
