Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2024 event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada featured AEW officially announcing the date for the Finals of this year’s Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Cup Foundation tournaments.
During the Buy-In Pre-show, Dr. Martha Hart and AEW CEO Tony Khan came out to the stage. Hart stated that they wanted to do something special for this year’s tournaments in honor of this year being the 25th anniversary of Owen Hart’s tragic passing. Khan responded stating that the Finals of this year’s tournaments will be taking place on July 10th at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Khan also stated that the winners of this year’s tournaments will also receive World title shots at this August’s All In 2024 event at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
