Kelani Jordan Wins NXT Women’s North American Title at NXT Battleground 2024

Sunday’s WWE NXT Battleground 2024 event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada featured Kelani Jordan winning the NXT Women’s North American Championship to become its inaugural champion.

Jordan defeated Michin, Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Jaida Parker, and Fallon Henley in a Six-Women Ladder match for the newly created title.

This was Jordan’s first ever championship victory in her WWE NXT career.

Eddy Thorpe NXT Return Set for This Tuesday’s NXT Show

Sunday’s NXT Battleground 2024 event also featured the announcement of Eddy Thorpe making his in-person return to NXT at this week’s NXT show on June 11th.

This announcement was made at the end of a vignette for Thorpe that aired during the show.

This will be Thorpe’s first in-person appearance in NXT since this past December.

Ash By Elegance Makes Surprise Appearance at NXT Battleground 2024

Sunday’s NXT Battleground 2024 event also featured TNA talent Ash By Elegance, former Dana Brooke, making a surprise appearance and return in WWE.

During the NXT Women’s Championship match between Jordynne Grace and Roxanne Perez, Tatum Paxley came out from the crowd and started to give a happy glare directed at the NXT Women’s and TNA Knockouts World titles at ringside. Paxley’s real prize was revealed to be the TNA Knockouts title and proceeded to snatch the belt and tried to walk away with it before being stopped by Ash making her surprise appearance and return to NXT. This led to Grace being distracted over what was going on outside and confronted both Paxley and Ash laying both of them out. After some more back-and-forth action between Grace and Perez, Perez managed to get the upper hand and pinned Grace to retain her title. Following the match, Ash yapped her mouth at Grace over her loss.
