NJPW Announces Details for Qualifying Tournament for 2024 G1 Climax

As noted before, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced eighteen of the twenty competitors for this year’s G1 Climax tournament and the full field of competitors for the qualifying tournament for the final two spots.

NJPW recently announced the official bracket and schedule for their upcoming qualifying tournament for this year’s G1 Climax.

In regards to the A Block qualifier tournament, it was announced that Chase Owens will face off against YOSHI-HASHI and Yujiro Takahashi will face off against Callum Newman in tournament matches at their New Japan Soul 2024 event on June 22nd in Fukushima. It was also announced that Tomohiro Ishii will be facing off against the winner of Owens/YOSHI-HASHI and KENTA will be facing off against the winner of Takahashi/Newman at their New Japan Soul 2024 event on July 3rd in Tokyo. The winners of these Semifinal Round matches will face off against each other at the July 5th New Japan Soul 2024 event in Tokyo with the winner to earn the final spot in A Block.

In regards to the B Block qualifier tournament, it was announced that Boltin Oleg will face off against Toru Yano and TJP will face off against Satoshi Kojima in tournament matches at their New Japan Soul 2024 event on June 23rd in Kamisu. It was also announced that Hiroshi Tanahashi will be facing off against the winner of Oleg/Yano and Taichi will be facing off against the winner of TJP/Kojima at their New Japan Soul 2024 event on July 3rd in Tokyo. The winners of these Semifinal Round matches will face off against each other at the July 5th New Japan Soul 2024 event in Tokyo with the winner to earn the final spot in B Block.
