As noted before, WWE currently is planning for the tag team match of Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu) to main event their Bad Blood 2024 event, which takes place on October 5th at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials original plan several months ago was to build the return of their Bad Blood event around the idea of the anniversary of the first-ever Hell in a Cell match in 1997 due to this year’s event lands on the same date of that historic match.
Johnson reported that this means that the CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre Hell in a Cell match should close out the event but WWE officials have yet to make an official final decision regarding the main event for Bad Blood 2024.
Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that there has been a push within the company that Rhodes and Reigns teaming up for the first time ever and in a city that has a special significance to each of them, Atlanta, should headline the show against The Bloodline.
