As noted before, Michael Cole signed a new contract with WWE this past Spring to remain in the company for the foreseeable future.
In a recent interview with WFAN’s WFAN Daily with Sal Licata podcast, Cole provided an update stating that his new contract is a long-term deal for multiple years. Cole also confirmed that he will be the lead commentator for WWE RAW when the show moves over to Netflix in January of 2025.
“I still feel like I have a lot left in me. I just signed a long-term deal with the company, I’ll be doing this for a few more years. I’ll be back on Netflix doing Monday Night Raw in January.”
During the interview, Cole also revealed the reason for his absence from Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Columbia, South Carolina was due to him going on a ten-day family vacation in Mexico. This interview was held on October 12th.
Cole’s absence from this week’s SmackDown show was only just the fourth WWE show he has missed since joining the company in 1997.
