AEW’s upcoming Grand Slam Australia event next year in Brisbane, Australia reportedly is currently expected to be moving to a new venue, according to Fightful Select.
Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that an official announcement for a venue change is currently expected to be made “sooner than later.”
No other details were given regarding the reason for the planned change of venue.
WrestleTix reported that AEW had made significant changes to their seating map for the event over the past week with many seats removed and numerous sections becoming untrackable.
It was reported that it is currently not known if these changes were done due to the seating map being in transition for a potential new venue. It was also reported that there have been no further changes made since then and AEW’s ticket map now shows limited ticket availability for the event.
It was also reported that initial VIP ticket sales for the event were encouraging but afterwards, much of the original ticket map was still available in regards to large quantities of available tickets.
AEW Grand Slam Australia is currently scheduled to take place on February 15, 2025 at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
