As noted before, Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Uniondale, New York was notable for a post-match angle that involved Kevin Owens attacking Cody Rhodes following their Undisputed WWE Championship match. This resulted in Owens hitting a package piledriver to Rhodes causing Rhodes to need medical attention and be stretchered out and Owens also getting into an altercation with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
WWE provided a storyline injury update earlier today stating that Rhodes suffered cervical swelling and was diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine and a cervical strain with spasm.
