According to several readers, Helms appeared to suffer a shoulder injury in his match with Umaga at the Saturday, February 7th SmackDown live show in Yakima, Washington. Fans outside the arena saw Helms leave the area via ambulance. Helms worked the live event in Bakersfield, Californa the next night, but has not appeared in a WWE ring since. Helms last appeared on television on February 6th in a brawl with Matt Hardy that left him in an unconscious state in the center of the ring (storyline). The episode was taped on January 27 in Indianapolis.
