WWE reportedly will be swapping around their ring announcers for their RAW and SmackDown brands starting this Friday, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that RAW brand ring announcer Lilian Garcia is currently expected to handle the ring announcing for this Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Phoenix, Arizona. Johnson reported that Garcia is expected to be working for that brand going forward.
Friday’s WWE SmackDown show is notable for being SmackDown’s official move into being a weekly three-hour show.
In regards to RAW, Johnson reported that SmackDown brand ring announcer Alicia Taylor will be moving over to RAW to become the new ring announcer for the brand starting with next week’s Netflix premiere show.
Prior to the changes, Garcia had been RAW’s ring announcer since this past October and Taylor had been SmackDown’s ring announcer since this past May.
