As noted before, Darby Allin had postponed his plans to climb Mount Everest in 2024 due to him suffering broken foot injury this past March. Allin revealed in a interview this past August that he still has plans to climb the mountain in 2025.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that Allin is currently set to take some time off from AEW and has not been on the road with the company for recent shows.
Sapp reported that Allin is currently not expected to return for several months due to him recently started training for his planned climb of Mount Everest.
Sapp also reported that Allin is also currently expected to get a push when he returns to AEW but that likely won’t happen until this Spring at the earliest.
Allin last appeared for AEW at the December 28th AEW Rampage finale show that featured the Death Riders attacking Allin backstage and Jon Moxley kicking Allin down a flight of stairs.
