As noted before, Asuka has been out of action for WWE since this past May due to a knee injury. Asuka had suffered the injury this past March but worked through the injury until this past May.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE officials have held talks regarding potential creative plans and pitches for Asuka’s return from injury. It was reported that one of the plans that had been recently discussed involved a potential tag team match option for Asuka that ended up being shot down instead.
It was reported that Asuka’s status for this Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2025 event is currently not known nor if it known if WWE officials have any actual plans for her return to take place at the event.
It was also reported that it is currently not known if Asuka has been back training at WWE’s Performance Center or not for her return.
