WWE Hall of Famer “Road Dogg” Brian James reportedly has been named the new co-lead writer of WWE’s SmackDown brand, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that James will be joining John Swikata as the heads of creative for WWE SmackDown shows going forward.
Prior to his new role, James had been working as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Live Events since August of 2022.
James previously worked as the co-lead writer for WWE’s SmackDown brand from 2016 to 2019 alongside Stephen Guerrieri at the time.
