As noted before, Mina Shirakawa’s contract with Stardom expired this past March and will be joining AEW for the next home for her wrestling career.
Wednesday’s event for Stardom at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan featured Maika defeating Shirakawa in Shirakawa’s final match in Stardom.
Following the match, Shirakawa gave a speech to the crowd thanking the fans and her co-workers for the support they showed during her time in the company. Shirakawa also gave her thoughts about how being a pro wrestlers is all about making your dreams come true and how she will continue her dream in America.
“It was the support of the fans who really accepted me into STARDOM, and the comrades who fought as seniors who gave me strict guidance in this ring and in the dojo, and it was because of those people that I was able to walk as pro-wrestler Mina Shirakawa. Thank you so much.
I think that being a pro-wrestler is all about making your dreams come true and showing the fans the path you’re on, so I’ll continue my dream in America.
See you again.”
