Stardom and Mayu Iwatani held a press conference earlier today in Japan.
Iwatani announced that she was departing from the company immediately and her decision was difficult one to make. Iwatani also stated that she had done everything there is to do in Stardom as her reason for her decision.

Iwatani wrestled her final match for Stardom at their All Star Grand Queendom 2025 event on Sunday in Yokohama in a losing effort to Syuri for the IWGP Women’s Championship.
Prior to her announcement, Iwatani had been with Stardom since 2011.
