As noted before, this past Sunday’s Wrestling Dontaku 2025 Night 2 event in Fukuoka, Japan featured Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI’s final matches of their NJPW careers and departed from the company.
Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with Naito. One of the topics discussed included Naito providing an update on the future of his wrestling career and him currently scheduled to undergo surgery for his left eye and stem cell treatment for his right knee.
“Some people may be under the wrong impression, but I’m not retiring or anything like that. First of all, I want to take the time to maintain my body, and then I want to move on to the next stage. I want to continue preparing for the next stage while undergoing various treatments.”
Tokyo Sports reported that Naito is currently set to undergo surgery on Wednesday, May 7th and will begin treatment for his knee afterwards.
