Men’s Owen Hart Cup Finals to Main Event Double or Nothing 2025

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico featured the official announcement of the 2025 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Finals match of Hangman Adam Page vs. Will Ospreay will be the main event of Double or Nothing 2025 on May 25th.

This announcement was made by Ospreay during his heated face-to-face promo segment with Page and revealed that he had talked with AEW CEO Tony Khan and the Board of Directors for their match to be the main event of Double or Nothing.

Following the promo segment, it was confirmed that this match will main event Double or Nothing.


Mystery Spider Image Airs on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured a mystery red spider image appearing and crawling ac cross the screen again

During the All Star Trios match between Jon Moxley & The Young Bucks and Swerve Strickland & The Opps, the same spider image from recent AEW shows appeared again and crawled across the top of the screen.

This spider image is currently speculated to be for former Stardom talent Thekla’s upcoming official debut in AEW. Thekla’s nickname in Stardom was the “Toxic Spider.”


MJF Signs Contract to Officially Join Hurt Syndicate on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured MJF officially joining the Hurt Syndicate.

This was initially setup over recent weeks shows over MJF’s efforts to get the Hurt Syndicate to induct him as the newest member of their group. During tonight’s show, MJF and his lawyer Smart Mark Sterling held a backstage talk with The Hurt Syndicate and their lawyer.

In a follow-up segment, the Hurt Syndicate came out to the ring for the official membership contract signing. MJF and Sterling came out next to begin the signing process. MJF, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin signed the contracts and after some teasing by Bobby Lashley over him reconsidering letting MJF be in the group, he signed the contract as well making MJF’s membership official.


“Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Kazuchika Okada for AEW Continental Title Set for Double or Nothing 2025

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one new match announced for the card of Double or Nothing 2025.

This new match announced was an AEW Continental Championship match of “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Kazuchika Okada (c).

This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Bailey’s bad blood issues with Okada. During tonight’s show, Okada was seen backstage being interviewed by Renee Paquette. Okada stated that Speedball doesn’t call him out, he calls out Speedball. Okada then issued a challenge to Speedball for a match for his AEW Continental title at Double or Nothing.

Later in the show, this match was made official for the event.


Full Field of Competitors for Anarchy in the Arena Match Revealed

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the full field of competitors revealed for the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2025, which takes place on May 25th at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

This year’s match was revealed to be a 12-Person Team match featuring Kenny Omega, Willow Nightingale, Swerve Strickland, & The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata, & Samoa Joe) and the Death Riders (Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, & Jon Moxley) & The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson).

This upcoming show will be taped on Wednesday, May 21st at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico as part of AEW’s Dynamite tapings.

These new matches were setup following promos, storyline angles, and match card graphics throughout the show.
