WWE reportedly has been considering plans for former WCW and TNA announcer Mike Tenay to make an appearance at this Saturday’s WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2025 event in Los Angeles, California, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that WWE officials have had internal discussions regarding Tenay making a potential appearance and being part of the commentary team for their Worlds Collide event.
Meltzer reported that it is currently not known if WWE officials had actually contacted Tenay for a potential appearance but Tenay is currently not scheduled to call the show as of the time of his report.
Meltzer also reported that Lucha Libre AAA English announcers Joe Dombrowski and Larry Davis are also currently not scheduled to work at the upcoming show either. WWE officials reportedly have kept their plans for the show’s commentary a secret.
Meltzer also reported that Tenay had started his announcing career at WCW and AAA’s co-promoted When Worlds Collide event in 1994.
Tenay’s wrestling commentary career spanned from 1994 to 2015 and worked for WCW and TNA/Impact Wrestling. Tenay officially retired from his wrestling commentary career in 2016.
