Syuri Announces Break from Stardom to Heal from Injury
This past Sunday’s event for Stardom in Okayama, Japan featured God’s Eye (Saki Kashima, Syuri & Tomoka Inaba) defeating Cosmic Angels (Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara & Yuna Mizumori) in a 6-Woman Tag Team match.
Following the match, Syuri, Inaba, and Kashima gave a post-match press conference that involved Syuri announcing that she will be taking a break from Stardom to heal from injuries that she has accumulated. Syuri also stated that she also wants to “level up” by working overseas before making her return to the company.
“I have something important to tell everyone here, so please allow me to share it. On June 21st, I lost the IWGP title, and I went through a lot of struggles and doubts. I have a strong desire to keep pushing myself to new heights, and I’ve been thinking about leveling up overseas. At the same time, after years of wrestling, I have various injuries that need treatment. After discussing with the company, I’ve decided to take a temporary break from Stardom. I absolutely won’t let things end like this, and I’m determined to wrap the IWGP title around my waist again. That’s why I made this decision. But I will make a grand comeback and return to this Stardom ring, so for just a little while, I’ll be taking a break.”

Kevin Nash Comments on Not Being Interested in Potential In-Ring Return
A recent episode of the Kliq This podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and co-host Kevin Nash giving his thoughts about him having no interest in the idea of him making a potential in-ring return in the future.
“There was a guy — I was working out in the gym, and he said, ‘You look good today, Nash. Let me take a picture of you.’ I said, ‘Alright, send it to me.’ So he sent me this picture. I had a camouflage tank top on. I put it on Instagram. So, it ended up on X with somebody saying that, ‘Nash looks good. Oh, dear God, he’s gonna fucking he’s coming back.’ So it’s to the point now where they’re they don’t even know the story or anything. It’s just like, ‘Oh, he probably tore his knee.’ Like, they don’t know, it’s the quad, you know? It’s like, they don’t even get any of it right. I’m thinking myself, like, I just want to fucking write back, ‘Don’t fucking worry.’ Like you don’t have to worry because I’ve already come to the conclusion of: There’s no reason for me to do fucking anything I don’t feel like doing.”
