MLP Announces Downtown Showdown Event This July & Sacred Ground Event This August
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling recently announced that they will be holding two new events this July and September.
It was announced that they will be holding a new event called Downtown Showdown on July 26th in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
It was also announced that they will be holding a new event called Sacred Ground in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada.

Skye Blue & Julia Hart Announced for Pro Wrestling EVE’s EVE x The World Event This August in London
Pro Wrestling EVE recently announced that Skye Blue and Julia Hart will be making their official debut appearances for the company at their EVE x The World event on August 23rd in London, England.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry reportedly was in attendance backstage at Saturday’s Resurrection event for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, according to PWInsider.
Maple Leaf Pro officials reportedly were very happy with the live attendance for their Resurrection event in Montreal, according to PWInsider.
Fightful Select reported that Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan will not be holding a post-show media scrum following the Supercard of Honor 2025 event on July 11th due to the early start time for AEW’s All In Texas event on July 12th.
This past Friday’s EVE 136: Mean Girls event for Pro Wrestling EVE in London, England featured Kris Statlander defeating Anita Vaughn to become the new EVE International Champion.
This past Friday’s CMLL Super Viernes event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured The Beast Mortos, Averno, & Último Guerrero defeating Esfinge, Máscara Dorada, & Templario in a 2-out-of-3 falls Trios match. Following the match, Mortos took off Esfinge’s mask after attacking him after Esfinge challanged him to a singles match at a future show. This was Mortos’ first victory in CMLL since 2011.
This past Friday’s CMLL Super Viernes event also featured Dark Silueta defeating Lluvia to become the new CMLL Japan Women’s Champion.
CMLL reportedly drew an attendance of 16,000 for their June 27th Super Viernes event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The Athletic reported that a representative of UFC confirmed that they are currently working on plans to hold an event at the White House grounds during the 250th birthday celebration in 2026. This proposed event was first mentioned by President Donald Trump during a rally speech at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on July 3rd. Trump claimed that this UFC event would be a full event with a crowd of up to 25,000 spectators.
New Japan Pro Wrestling reportedly drew a paid attendance of 4,570 for their June 29th Tanahashi Jam event in Nagoya, Japan, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
This past Friday’s New Japan Soul 2025 event in Tokyo, Japan featured Toru Yano, YOH, & Master Wato defeating HOUSE OF TORTURE (Yujiro Takahashi, SHO, & Ren Narita) to become the new NEVER 6-Man Tag Team Champions.
