AEW CEO and Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan held a media call earlier today to promote this Saturday’s AEW All In Texas event in Arlington, Texas. One of the topics discussed included Khan announcing that Red Velvet is currently injured and will no longer be able to defend her ROH Women’s World Television Championship at this Friday’s ROH Supercard of Honor 2025 event in Arlington, Texas.
Khan also announced that a new interim ROH Women’s World TV Champion will be crowned at Supercard of Honor.
“With the injury to Red Velvet, it’s something that I think she’s going to be able to work through, but she’s not going to be able to defend, due to injury, the women’s TV championship at Supercard of Honor. I will address that situation with an interim TV title. Because Red Velvet will not be able to compete, I will be having an ROH Women’s TV Title Interim Champion crowned at Supercard of Honor. That situation caused some delays in getting the Pure Title tournament started because, frankly, it’s a lot of the same people fighting for the interim TV champion position, who would also be in line for the Pure tournament. I think Red Velvet will be back in a matter of weeks, maybe a few months, tops.”
Current card for ROH Supercard of Honor 2025:
- ROH World Championship – Konosuke Takeshita vs. Bandido (c)
- ROH Women’s World Championship – Thunder Rosa vs. Athena (c)
- ROH World Television Championship – Titan vs. Nick Wayne (c)
- Interim ROH Women’s World Television Championship – TBA vs. TBA
- ROH Pure Championship – Blue Panther vs. Lee Moriarty (c)
- ROH Women’s Pure Championship Tournament Finals match – TBD vs. TBD
- ROH World Tag Team Championship – The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Capt. Shawn Dean) vs. The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara) (c)
