Young Bucks Comments on Original California Location Plans for All In & Reason for Change to Chicago
A recent episode of the AEW Close Up with Renee Paquette show featured The Young Bucks’ Matthew & Nicholas Jackson as the guest. One of the topics discussed included the Young Bucks’ thoughts about the original plans for the inaugural All In event in 2018 was for it to be held in California.
Matthew Jackson – “We originally wanted to do that show [AEW Double or Nothing 2019] in Ontario, California. The building wouldn’t allow us, so Vegas was the second.”
Nicholas Jackson – “We talked about doing the original All In in Ontario. We talked to [Toyota Arena] and we were trying to get it booked. They were booked out for something. I think Chicago was the second choice.”
Matthew – “It made sense, though. You can get airplanes there pretty easily.”
Nicholas – “It’s in the middle of America.”

Kris Statlander Comments on Potential of AEW Holding All-Women’s Event in Future
A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured Kris Statlander as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Statlander’s thoughts about the potential of AEW holding an all-women’s event in the future.
“I don’t know (if the locker room is pushing for AEW to do an all-women’s show). I think anything is a good option. More wrestling is always great, having the amount of wrestling that we do have right now is wonderful. Getting to showcase as many of the amazing talent that we have, men and women, is awesome. I am not a person who, you know, tries to lead the charge on many things. I kind of just see where things go because you never know where anything can go. Everything in life is unpredictable. I think we could all hope for all the girls that work so hard being showcased more and maybe get to something like that but, everything comes with the time, everything has its plan and you know, it is what it is.”

Adam Cole Comments on Paragon Name Being “Fresh Coat of Paint” for Group with Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong
A recent episode of Fightful’s Grapsody podcast featured Adam Cole as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cole’s thoughts about his group’s name change from Undisputed Kingdom to Paragon in AEW .
“First and foremost, it’s no surprise that Roddy and Kyle are going crazy because they are crazy. They are two of the best wrestlers I’ve ever stepped in the ring with. They are two of my best friends and guys I’ve known well over a decade. We talk every single day. I was at their weddings. These guys are not just on-screen friends, they are very much real best friends of mine who I love dearly. Those two are absolute machines and they keep getting better and better, which is wild. In regards to the name change with Paragon, obviously, me, Kyle, and Roddy look back so fondly on the Undisputed Era. We had an absolute blast and I was so proud of what we did and accomplished.
Going forward, to me, I think it’s important sometimes, while also paying tribute to things we’ve done, I think going in a new direction with a new name and a fresh coat of paint, with the same group, is a good approach as well. Our trio in AEW is different than it was in NXT. Having that name chance was really important. Still, Paragon, meaning the best of the best or the elite of the elite, I really do believe that. Me, Kyle, and Roddy together are a trio that can’t be stopped. That was the reason for the name change. Those two are unbelievable. Every time I watch them, they make me want to be better. They are so good.”
Cole also gave his thoughts about how it was important for his group with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong to have a fresh start after a set of injuries.
“We’re so proud of what we’ve done and accomplished, but we’re kind of starting fresh, and that can be a cool thing. Roddy had gone through a serious injury. Kyle had gone through a serious injury. I had gone through a serious injury. Truth be told, all of us were kind of like, ‘Are we going to be able to keep doing this?’ That was a real discussion that was had based on the severity of the injuries. When we all got to come back around the same time and we all felt better than we had ever felt and we were healthy and happy, we were like, ‘This is a fresh start. Let’s make this a new thing.’”
