Young Bucks Advances in AEW Tag Titles Eliminator Tournament null

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois featured one match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator tournament.

This match was The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) defeating The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) in a First Round match.

As a result of their victory, the Young Bucks will be facing off against the winner of Gates of Agony (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun)/Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) in the Semifinal Round of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator tournament.

MJF Gets 2nd Thumbs Down for Future of His Hurt Syndicate Membership

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured MJF getting one step closer to being kicked out of the Hurt Syndicate.

This was initially setup on last week’s show over Lashley berating MJF and giving him a thumbs down over his future with the Hurt Syndicate. During tonight’s show, MJF was seen backstage bragging about the success of the Happy Gilmore 2 film featuring him among the cast. MJF then went up to the Hurt Syndicate’s locker room door to have a talk with his fellow members about last week only for Shelton Benjamin to come out. Benjamin stated that MVP is not here to talk and claimed MVP is disgusted with MJF. Benjamin then brought up the watch that MJF had gifted him when he tried to win over his thumbs up to be in the group. Benjamin revealed that the “expensive” watch was just a cheap knockoff watch from Temu. Benjamin then threw the watch on the floor and told that MJF was out of the Hurt Syndicate and gave him a thumbs down.

That now gives MJF two thumbs down and his future with the group being in jeopardy due to needing three thumbs down to be officially kicked out of the group.

This new match announced was a singles match of MJF vs. Mark Briscoe.

This match was setup following a promo segment involving MJF and Briscoe. Following his win over Ricochet, Briscoe gave a promo talkign about his bad blood issues with MJF over MJF invokving and disrepecting his late brother Jay’s name twice. This led to Briscoe calling out MJF and MJF responding on the video screen saying he got a match made between them for next week’s show since he had to prove to Hangman Adam Page that he is not a coward. MJF then gave an ominous warning to Briscoe as the video of him ended and MJF appeared behind him for a sneak attack as part of his ruse. This led to Hangman Page showing up and getting physical with MJF who managed to scramble out of the ring to safety.
