Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flairs Wins WWE Women’s Tag Titles

Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 event also featured Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair defeating Judgement Day (Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez) to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

This was Bliss and Flair’s first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship victory as a team in their WWE careers. This was also Bliss’ fourth time and Flair’s second time winning the titles in their WWE careers.

Psycho Clown & Mr. Iguana Makes Appearance at SummerSlam 2025

Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 event also featured AAA talents Psycho Clown and Mr. Iguana making an appearance.

Prior to the start of the WWE Women’s Championship match between Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton, Psycho Clown and Mr. Iguana were shown at ringside in the crowd.

WWE Holds Another Hulk Hogan Tribute

Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 event also featured WWE holding another tribute to the late WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea.

Following the Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross match, Michael Cole gave a tribute to Hogan at ringside that included some footage from Hogan’s career being shown.

CM Punk Wins WWE World Title

Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 event also featured CM Punk defeating Gunther to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Seth Rollins Makes Surprise Returns & Cashes In To Win WWE World Title

Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 show also featured Seth Rollins making his surprise return and cashing in his Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Following Punk’s victory over Gunther to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Punk’s victory celebration was interrupted by Rollins’ music. Rollins came out on crutches with Paul Heyman alongside him. Rollins told Punk to not forget about him and started to walk away before stopping revealing that he’s healed and threw away his crutches and knee brace. Rollins then made his way to the ring and brawled with Punk laying him out. Rollins then officially cashed in his briefcase.

Rollins then hit a curb stomp to Punk for the pinfall victory to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins celebrated his title win with Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed as the show went to a close.
