Darby Allin Issues Challenge to Jon Moxley for Forbidden Door 2025
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio featured one new potential match for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025.
This new potential match is a singles match of Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley.
This new potential match was setup over recent months shows over Allin’s bad blood issues with Moxley and the Death Riders. During tonight’s show, Allin kidnapped Wheeler Yuta at ringside during Moxley’s match against “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

In a follow-up segment, Moxley and Marina Shafir found Yuta inside a body bag and dragged him away before Allin could try to run him over in a car. They opened up the body bag revealing a piece of paper with the words “Forbidden Door” on Yuta’s head.

Alex Windsor Qualifies for TBS Title Match at Forbidden Door 2025
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one qualifying match for the TBS Championship Four-way match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden 2025, which takes place on August 24th at The O2 Arena in London, England.
This match was Alex Windsor defeating Billie Starkz, Queen Aminata, and Skye Blue in a Four-way match to secure the AEW qualifier spot for the TBS Championship match at Forbidden Door 2025.

Brodido Advances to Finals in AEW Tag Titles Eliminator Tournament
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator tournament.
This match was Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) defeating The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in a Semifinal Round match.

As a result of their victory, Brodido will be facing off against FTR in the Finals of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator tournament.
MJF Officially Kicked Out of The Hurt Syndicate
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured MJF being officially kicked out of the Hurt Syndicate.
This was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Bobby Lashey and Shelton Benjamin each giving their thumbs down wanting MJF out of the group for different reasons for hating him. During tonight’s show, MJF showed up to interrupt The Hurt Syndicate’s backstage interview with Renee Paquette. This led to Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley walking away. MJF told MVP that with all due respect, MVP only needs him, no one else. MVP responding telling MJF that they hurt people, not MJF. MVP then talked about MJF’s ego being too big and proceeded to give MJF a thumbs down making his removal from the Hurt Syndicate official. MVP then told MJF that he loves him like a little brother. MVP then warned MJF that if he wins the AEW World title, then Lashley is going to go after him and it won’t be business, it will be very personal.
