Lights Out Steel Cage Match Announced for Forbidden Door 2025
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the second of four new matches announced for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025.
This new match announced was a Lights Out Steel Cage match of Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley), The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), & Gabe Kidd vs. Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, & Golden Lovers (Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega).
This new match was setup following Moxley’s victory over Kevin Knight in a singles match that led to the Death Riders attacking Knight afterwards and a brawl breaking out involving “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Darby Allin trying to fight them off. This led to the Death Riders laying out both Bailey and Allin and after Castagnoli stuffed Allin into a body bag and gave him an airplane spin slam, he unzipped the bag so that Yuta could place a chair around Allin’s neck.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Reunites on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Adam Copeland and Christian Cage reuniting as a team.
This was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Copeland saving Cage from the hands of The Patriarchy but wanting Cage to “go find yourself” before he’d accept a reunion with him. During tonight’s show, Copeland defeated Stokely by disqualification. This led to Stokely & FTR attacking Copeland resulting in Cage running out with the spiked bat Spike only to be quickly followed by Nick Wayne with a chair in a hand. Cage and Wayne both swung at each other with Cage getting the upperhand. This then led to Kip Sabian trying to get involved only to get laid out by a spear from Copeland. After clearing out the ring, Copeland and Cage confronted each other leading to Copeland hugging Cage and accepting Cage back as a friend.
