Sunday’s NJPW G1 Climax 2025 event at the ARIAKE ARENA in Tokyo, Japan featured Konosuke Takeshita defeating EVIL to become the winner of this year’s G1 Climax tournament.

Following the match, Takeshita gave a post-match speech talking about achieving his dream and making dreams come true. Takeshita stated that anyone can work to become a professional wrestler but everyone who wants to be one for them to know that he is the best professional wrestler there is. Takeshita stated that the wrestling world has seen nothing yet and then declared himself the Alpha once again.
Takeshita also ended up setting the new all-time record for longest cumulative match time ever in a G1 Climax tournament in NJPW history.
This was Takeshita’s first ever G1 Climax tournament victory in his NJPW career.
