Xavier Woods Reportedly Dealing with Potential Neck Injury
This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured Penta defeating Xavier Woods in a singles match after hitting his Mexican Destroyer finisher.
Woods recently claimed on Twitter that he had suffered a serious neck injury and blamed it on Penta. This quickly led to online speculation of if Woods was just selling the finisher and his injury just being a storyline one.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Woods claimed that his neck was “messed up” and was seen wearing a neck brace later that evening backstage. Those spoken to reportedly also stated that Woods was also seen wearing a neck brace in public which is usually uncommon these days when an injury is purely scripted.
It was reported that it is also possible that Woods’ injury claims are just a work and part of New Day’s current storyline with Penta.
Most recently, Seth Rollins was fully commited to his knee injury storyline going as far as to use crutches everywhere in public and only a very few people being made aware that it was just a work.
Cody Rhodes Comments on Paul Heyman Encouraging Him To Use “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” Catchphrase In Each Town
A recent episode of the What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes podcast featured host Cody Rhodes giving his thoughts about Paul Heyman being the person who encouraged him to use his “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” for the start of his promos in each town WWE went to for shows.
“‘What do you wanna talk about?’ The whole, ‘Hey town, what do you wanna talk about?’ An individual backstage, whom I heavily seek advice from. I consider him a super genius and have the utmost respect for him because he was incredibly helpful to my family. He told me that I should always say, ‘Atlana, what do you wanna talk about?’ And that the story, promo, whatever I do, should follow suit and not just appear. He told me, ‘You’d make a great governor.’ The person thought, ‘Don’t be that. We know you can put something good together and we know you can tell us a story. Try your best to present this as happening in the moment. What do we want to talk about?’ Then it just flows and goes. Sometimes it is, ‘I hope I hit this and hit that, and I need to cover this,’ but the way he said it I thought, ‘Yeah, that should always be it.’ It actually unhinges me when I do it. It makes me remember, ‘I have 50 things I’m supposed to cover and I’m supposed to hit this, but now I’m just talking.”
