Nikki Bella vs. Becky Lynch for WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Announced for WWE Clash in Paris

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the bb pulse LIVE in Birmingham, England featured one new match announced for the card for Clash in Paris, which takes place on August 31st at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France.

This new match announced was a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship match of Nikki Bella vs. Becky Lynch (c).

This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over the bad blood issues between Bella and Lynch. During today’s show, Lynch came out to the ring and after some insults directed at Birmingham, Bella’s music played to interrupt. This led to Bella coming out and after some back-and-forth insults banter, Bella challenged Lynch for her WWE Women’s Intercontinental title at Clash in Paris, which Lynch accepted. This then led to a brawl breaking out between Lynch and Bella that ended with Bella standing tall and clearing the ring of Lynch and holding Lynch’s title in the air.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Naomi Match Officially Pulled from Clash in Paris

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured the official announcement of the Stephanie Vauqer vs. Naomi for the WWE Women’s World Championship being pulled from Clash in Paris.

This was initially setup following Naomi’s pregnancy announcement and her relinquishing her WWE Women’s World title on last week’s show. During today’s show, Vaquer was seen backstage with RAW GM Adam Pearce. Pearce informed that her match for the title at Clash in Paris was officially cancelled but she is still the #1 Contender and will get her title match in the future. Pearce also stated that Vaquer will be competing in a match at next week’s RAW show in Nanterre, France.


Bayley Hears Voices in Her Head Again

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured a new video segment featuring Bayley battling her inner voices in her head again. During the video, Bayley’s voices in her head returned speaking as her old Hugger persona and telling her to do things the right way. The voice stated that they were successful because they believed in themselves. This led to Bayley’s Role Model persona voice interrupting and argued with the Hugger voice leading to Bayley repeatedly telling the two voices to stop.


Early Start Time & Current Card for Next Week’s Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured two new matches announced for the card of next week’s show on September 1st at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France.

It was also announced that next week’s show will be having an earlier than usual start time of 2PM EST due to it airing live in France.

These matches were setup following promos, storyline angles, and match card graphics throughout the show.
