Matt Riddle Pulled from Convetion Appearance for SiouxperCon Over His Comments “Regarding The Topics Of SA & DV”, Riddle’s Wife Responds to Online Backlash Against Him

As noted before, former WWE talent and current MLW and indies talent Matt Riddle was involved in an incident over him no showing a charity wrestling event for Global Wrestling Kingdom in the United Kingdom this past Sunday. Riddle issued a statement blaming the promotion for the issues that led to him no-showing the event and claimed he never said he would keep the deposit. GWK provided an update earlier today stating that Riddle had returned his deposit and promised to reimburse his travel costs and gave their side of the story about the issues Riddle and his manager had caused.

SiouxperCon announced earlier today on Facebook that they have pulled Riddle from his scheduled booking for their upcoming convention event in South Dakota due to their issues with Riddle’s recent comments about sexual abuse and domestic violence. Riddle’s comments were made during his initial response to his no showing incident and brought up his past sexual assault allegations in a dismissive tone calling it “MeToo bullsh*t.”

“In light of recent public statements made by Matt Riddle regarding the topics of SA and DV, SiouxperCon has made the decision to cancel his appearance at this year’s convention. The statements that were made in no way represent our organization or event, and are not aligned with the mission, vision, and values of our organization.

Fans that have purchased photo ops in advance for Matt Riddle will be automatically refunded this week to their original form of payment.

SiouxperCon has always strived to be a safe and inclusive space and event for all to feel welcome, including those that have been affected by SA and DV. This is why we, along with New Sound Wrestling, will be donating 10% of the proceeds from all SiouxperMania tickets sold to The Compass Center to support the work they do in our community for survivors and victims.”

Riddle’s wife Misha recently responded on Twitter about the online backlash her husband has received over the no-show incident.

“So here’s the thing I have been in Reno Nevada dealing with both of my parents that are severely ill for the last week and I’ll tell you the last thing I wanted to deal with today was a bunch of fucking idiots on the Internet talking shit about shit that doesn’t fucking matter. So here we go… Now you guys get the proof that you really want right everybody wants to write an article. Everybody is about to be held accountable and everybody’s about to get sued. Have a great fucking day. Kiss your loved ones and go fuck yourself. They claimed to have work for 4 days so he wasn’t “sitting around” in a hotel. Wrestling fans should step back, brush your teeth and take an IQ test. It’s all bullshit. And you think you’re safe with your anonymous accounts..you’re not babe. Everyone is getting sued. ❤️😘 they didn’t deliver they wanted clout and I’ll tell you love him or hate him Matt has more attention in the sperm in his balls than you pussy ass losers do on your entire body.
