AJ Lee Appearance, Two New Matches, and More Announced for Monday’s WWE RAW Show

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced two new matches and two new segments for the card of this Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In regards to the new matches, the first new match announced was a singles match of AJ Styles vs. El Grande Americano.

The second new match announced was a singles match of Lyra Valkyria vs. Raquel Rodriguez.

In regards to the new segments, these were announced to be AJ Lee, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso making appearances on the show.

Current card for September 8th WWE RAW show:

  • AJ Styles vs. El Grande Americano
  • Lyra Valkyria vs. Raquel Rodriguez
  • AJ Lee to appear
  • Jimmy & Jey Uso to appear

Backstage Update on AJ Styles Contract & Retirement Tease

As noted before, AJ Styles had posted a cryptic message on Instagram this past Friday teasing his wrestling career is nearing its end. Styles had signed a contract extension with WWE this past July that was for one year in length.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that Styles’ contract with WWE is currently set to expire around February of 2026. Sapp reported that this would mean that Styles’ contract would expire after next year’s Royal Rumble event and before WrestleMania season.

Sapp reported that WWE officials are hopeful to retain Styles after that expiration date but will evaluate things and his interest.


WWE Files Several New Trademarks

WWE recently filed several new trademarks to the United States Patent ans Trademark Office.

A trademark for “Succession” was filed on September 4th for production and exhibition of professional wrestling events purposes.

A trademark for “WWE Films” was also filed on September 4th for production and distribution of motion pictures and television films purposes

A trademark for “Reckoning” was also filed on September 4th for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes.
