AJ Lee Comments on Her WWE Return

As noted before, this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois featured AJ Lee making her surprise return to WWE. Following the show, Lee signed a new official contract with WWE.

Lee reflected on Twitter earlier today about her recent return to WWE and her appreciation for her fans over the years.

AJ Styles Comments on Paris Crowd Reaction at 9/1 WWE RAW Show “Will Stay With Me For the Rest of My Life”

The September 1st WWE RAW show in Nanterre, France featured Dominik Mysterio defeated AJ Styles to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. This match was notable for the crowd giving a roaring reception to Styles that lasted for several minuted before the start of the match.

WWE recently released a new video featuring a backstage interview with Styles giving his thoughts about the reception he received from the crowd at the show.

“Well, yeah, yeah, I have had something. It was in Lyon, France, and the thing is, I wasn’t able to absorb it and take it all in. But tonight, I got to soak it in, close my eyes, and just take mental images that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Man, I didn’t realize… I didn’t realize how much AJ Styles was loved, and that means a lot. It’s not just like… ‘Hey, he wrestles for the WWE.’ They appreciate the work that I put in for the past two decades, two and a half decades and man, that means a lot. I did something right in this business. Not everything, but tonight it showed me I did have what it takes to get the love and support that I need. Need is the key word. I needed that. I needed that love to have a great match with Dominik Mysterio. Not because Dominik Mysterio’s not great, cause he is. I needed it for me. I needed it for my ego. All these little things that shouldn’t matter, but sometimes it does cause you just don’t know if you’ve done enough. I needed that. I’ll take every opportunity that I can get, and I don’t know if this leads to another one, cause I lost. I don’t have support from anybody else. I don’t have a clique or a squad or a club anymore. I have no one. All I’ve got is me and my family when I go home. That’s all I’ve got. I had France tonight. They had my back, but they couldn’t get in the ring or come outside and help me outside of the ring. They couldn’t do that. I guess you could say I miss my boys. I miss Gallows and Anderson, Omos. Miss those guys, man. It’d be nice to have some help, but it’s on me now.”

New NXT Live Events Announced for This October

WWE announced that they will be holding three NXT live events in Ohio and Michigan this October.

It was announced that they will be holding a new NXT live event on October 9th at the KEMBA Live! in Columbus, Ohio.

It was also announced that they will be holding a new NXT live event on October 10th at The Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan.

It was also announced that they will be holding a new NXT live event on October 11th at The Agora Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio.

Tickets for all of these upcoming shows was announced to officially go on sale starting this Tuesday for the pre-sale and this Wednesday for the general public.
